Ashley Nance is a native of Florence, SC where he attended James F. Byrnes Academy and graduated from Wilson High School. He later attended the College of Charleston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. While at the College of Charleston, Ashley was a member of the Crew team.
Ashley attended the Charleston School of Law and graduated in 2009. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and was selected to represent the school in the 2007 American College of Trial Lawyers Moot Court Competition. He also won the pro bono award for completing the most pro bono hours out of his graduating class.
Upon his graduation from law school, Ashley accepted a Federal Clerkship with the Honorable R. Bryan Harwell, United States District Judge, in Florence, SC, and after his clerkship ended, he served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable D. Craig Brown, Circuit Court Judge, Twelfth Judicial Circuit, in Florence SC.
Ashley practices in the areas of general civil litigation with a focus on personal injury, construction defects and contract disputes, federal and state criminal law, and family law. Ashley also provides a wide range of consultation for restaurants, which includes drafting/negotiating contracts, leases, and assistance in all issues of restaurant formation/operations.
Ashley is married to Danielle Blaker Nance, who is also a native of Florence. In their free time, they enjoy exercising, cooking, Clemson football, and spending time with their prized son, a golden retriever named “Shafer.”
